In the bible Christ says that we are to forgive a person 7x70 times. I don't believe that He is referring to separate, individual offenses. I believe that some things that are done to us are so painful and so difficult to overcome that we have to forgive the same person for the same offense over and over and over and over again. Sometimes 10 times a day or more, sometimes for years.
So, every night before you go to bed write down your forgivenesses for the day. Write down what you forgive yourself for, what you forgive your ex for, what you forgive your ex in-laws for, your kids, yourself again. Whatever it is that you need to get out of you and forgive for.
